The moving of goods around the country is big business but the cost to the economy for not improving the infrastructure would be catastrophic. With plans for close to £1 Billion just to improve the Bypass and a new River Tees Crossing, keeping the Tees Valley Economy moving is essential.

So, with so much more goods to be transported and even more expected, it is vital that road haulage safety is paramount. Each Truck, van and tail lift needs to “lock and load” correctly with the correct ratchet load binders and lashing chains but did you know that any vehicle that has the ability to lift must also comply also with LOLA regulations and be tested every six months.

If you own or rent a vehicle that lifts, has hydraulics, moves or supports people then under the current regulations the appliance needs to be tested and inspected.

So, if you need to lift it, shift it, strap it down, Shaw have the expertise you need. From Ratchet Load Binders & Lashing Chains for the transport and haulage industry to a simple Polyester Webbing Sling, we offer specialist advice backed by our friendly team with over 30 years’ experience in the industry.

Peter Turner, MD of Shaw Lifting said “I believe at Shaw we are all passionate about providing help and support to our customers so that they benefit from a relationship with a local company that delivers competitive pricing with higher levels of stock than other companies, all backed up with same day delivery to the local area. You can have confidence that you are dealing with a quality company that has the latest accreditation and certification through Lloyds registered ISO 9001:2015.”

So why go anywhere else when you can get the level of services that your company needs on a day to day basis. Try us out we will not let you down. Call today on 01642 455 920 or email info@shaw-lifting.com with all your requirements.

Did you know:

Our ratchet load binders are manufactured from forged alloy steel and are used in conjunction with low loader chains. These chains are then attached to the hooks on the load binder. A ratchet mechanism allows for incremental tightening of the chains to safely and securely lash down items that are being transported. The ratchet load binders we supply are available in sizes 8-10, 10-13 and 13-16 and British standard compliant with retaining pins. We also assemble load restraint chain that can be made to your own specifications connected with chain hooks if required.

We manufacture polyester webbing slings that are lightweight and flexible. We sell lifting slings that are ideal for lifting highly polished metal items or loads that could easily be scratched or damaged by steel lifting equipment. They adjust to the contours of the load and holds it in place with a tight and slip-resistant grip. They are also resistant to rot, mildew and bacteria and are highly resistant to abrasion. The webbing slings we supply range from 1.0 to 12.0 tonne and we can manufacture web slings on site to your own requirements. All of our slings are colour-coded to European standards for easy identification.

We also test Hiab Crane lorries, Builders merchant materials crane lorries and all lifting equipment for the building merchants and construction industry.

Have a tail lift? When was the last time you got it independently tested? At Shaw, we test all types of vehicles normally the same day, all part of the services that Shaw offers to the transport and haulage industry.
